Murder

Murder is an assault which results in death, where it can be shown that the accused either intended to kill or acted with ‘wicked recklessness’. An accused may be prosecuted or found guilty of culpable homicide as an alternative to a charge of murder where loss of life has occurred but it cannot be shown beyond reasonable doubt that the accused acted with intent to kill or utter indifference to the consequences  of their actions
